Learn2Love is looking to develop an app that recommends strategies to build strong relationships based on our blog and media content. We have a ton of ideas on what we want this app to do and how we would like it to look like. Essentially, the app would be like the continuation of tinder. “Tinder” means things that are easily flammable. So the next step would be something like “Fire” - something that can continue the burn over the long term and grow sustainably instead of quickly fizzle out.

The tagline for such an app would be something like “growing the sparks to a strong fire.”

This app can serve to do a number of functions, including:

  • Asking each user to score their “love tank” at any point in the day and write about why they are feeling in that way
  • Tips for communication with their partner, or overall relationship intelligence boosting ideas
  • Good conversation topics to discuss with their partner
  • Having a large availability of topic sections that the user can click on to learn about things like lists our boundaries - we will provide this content for you, or you can help to generate that as well if you are interested
  • A connection between the app to our media channels, so that the user can watch/read/listen from the app

You would be working remotely on a part-time basis depending on your availability. We accommodate applicants from all time zones.

You can pick from the list below on things you would like to contribute to:

  • Contribute to improving the native iOS and/or application (functionalities, technical architecture)
  • Collaborate with the Learn2Love team to introduce new functionality as required
  • Test and correct possible bugs, in order to deliver a bug-free product
  • Monitor error logs to ensure continuous improvement in stability
  • Create, maintain, implement and/or document the source code
  • Creating servers and databases for functionality
  • Ensuring cross-platform optimization for different mobile phones
  • Leading brainstorming sessions

What skills and qualifications would help you succeed, but are not required to apply?

  • Proficiency with React Native, Flutter, Swift, or Java/ Kotlin
  • High level of learnability and interest in emerging technologies
  • Experience with mobile development
  • Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
  • Experience working with AWS or Azure or GCP
  • Good communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas to a novice level
  • You want to work in a small team with lots of flexibility
  • You enjoy trying out new things and cutting edge technologies
  • You love solving problems and code
